Clive’s Pies of Buckfastleigh, Devon have added to their great range of pies, three new bake at home pie’s in packs of two, they are frozen unbaked ready to pop in the oven at home and last month I was asked if I would like to try them, well already a fan of Clive’s Pies, it was of course ‘yes please!’
Three great flavour combinations to choose from Three Bean Chilli, Saag Alo Gobi, Mushroom and Leek and all the pies are handmade. The pies take around 45 minutes to cook from frozen and they smell just great cooking in the kitchen, nothing beats the smell of pies baking and they cook perfectly, no soggy bottoms here!
All the pies are gluten free and dairy free and it goes without saying all Clive’s Pies are organic, vegan, vegetarian and Made with Love!

The pastry on the pies is just melt in the mouth and I loved all the flavours, but if I was forced to choose my favourite, it would be The Three Bean Chill, the colours of the ingredients and the combined taste was awesome! sorry my photography is not to great, but trust me it was delicious!
A little about Clive’s Pies…. now owned by Sally & Chris Carson, originally Clive Lowe, Clive’s have been baking pies since the 80’s originally from a kitchen in Totnes, but now in a purpose built bakery in Buckfastleigh, Devon where they have seen the business go from strength to strength. In addition to their pies they now also produce dips, veggie ready meals, pasties and cakes.
The new range of bake at home pies are available nationally in stores of Holland and Barrett.
I have been eating my way through all the delicious Clive’s gluten free pies and you can read about them very soon in my ‘Great Gluten Free Pie Review’
They say that food made with love tastes the best 🙂
